This is a water-lily. It grows in shallow ponds. It blooms
in mid-summer.

This is a cannas-lily, dies back in winter, regrows in summer.

This is a tiger-lily.

This is a day-lily. It blooms all summer, but the flowers just bloom for one day, hence the name.

This is a white easter lily. Blooms once a year around Easter time. Most people buy them in stores as potted plants and throw them away, but you can cut off the top and plant the bulbs and it will grow back and bloom yearly if you are in a favorable climate.
